I succeeded in removing nearly all the paint from the frame in the fork, which is a step in the right direction. I’ve started filing the imperfections a little, but I’m not going to mess with that too much. I think the rough cast look is fitting. Unlike your typical bicycle tubing this stuff has quite the texture, its pretty interesting. I’ve located a vintage leather saddle for it, which should be great. The only worrying part about this bike is the bottom bracket and crank-set. The factory items are in decent shape, but they’re low quality and aren’t exactly the style I want for this build. I’m not sure if ISO or english bottom brackets will fit though, with my luck its some odd thread used only on this bicycle. I’d love to find an old track or bsa script cottered crankset, but those aren’t exactly available at your neighborhood bicycle shop these days. I bet I could walk in and say cottered crankset and they’d all look at me like I was mad.
